Editor’s Note: Recently our contributor Becky Wells had the opportunity to enjoy some unique offerings you’ll find along the Magic Kingdom Monorail Loop. And Since she’s writing a Not Club 33 article you can be damn sure there was booze involved. Here are a couple of highlights from her last visit.

Aloha Isle: Magic Kingdom

Pineapple upside down Dole Whip? Yes, please. This was freaking phenomenal. I’m a Dole Whip junkie as it is, but the cake was surprisingly not insanely sweet, pound cake with some pineapple and of course the maraschino cherry (the only time it’s acceptable)…topped with a huge serving of Dole Whip! I’m pretty sure one serving would probably feed my family of seven. But, I took it down on my own, which took a while. It was my breakfast, no regrets.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto: Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Yup, I somehow talked myself into getting the Hitchhiker Ghosts Tiki mug from Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. It was $30 + tax, and like all the souvenir mugs there, you purchase the mug and the drink is “free”! Why am I going to pay $14+ for a drink when I can get a sweet ass exclusive mug AND the drink for $30? Enter “The Fog Cutter”. While my Skipper server couldn’t really tell me what was in this drink…because I’m not sure he knew…he gave a bunch of random descriptions that ended up being pretty much just some booze and a little splash of juice. So, essentially the same as every drink at Trader Sam’s. Win *Editor’s Note: not the same as this*.  I was a little bit of a wuss and asked for an extra “splash” of juice, but the drink was awesome. My friend thought it was insanely strong, but I had no issues. Especially after the second sip. These mugs are apparently worth at least triple what I paid, so…that’s cool I guess.
