Dining Review: Be Our Guest Restaurant

Menu (Allergy Menu) The Be Our Guest restaurant can be found in Fantasy Land at the Magic Kingdom. Due to the fact that it’s themed as the Beast’s castle, it’s one of the most popular restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. The theming is badass. This restaurant is a quick service by day and a table service by night. With that said, a reservation is highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They can be made 180 days prior to your stay.

The Theming

The West Wing

In my opinion Be our Guest restaurant is the best damn themed restaurant at Walt Disney World. Like I’ve said before, it’s badass. The restaurant has 3 different rooms available for seating. Specifically, The West Wing, the Ballroom, and the Rose Gallery. Each room is uniquely themed to the movie. Because of this, its allergy menu is consistently the most viewed on our website.

The Gluten Free Food

Croque Monsieur
Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin Style)
Kids Carved Turkey Sandwich

Over the years Be Our Guest lunch has been shit on by people in the Dis community. I’m in total disagreement with this assessment. The Croque Monsieur sandwich was outstanding. It’s not just an ordinary ham and cheese sandwich. In fact, the ham is high quality and it’s made with Gruyere Cheese. It’s a tasty combo. In addition to the ham sandwich, the Braised Pork was also really damn good. We also had the kids carved turkey sandwich with sweet potatoes. Despite being a kids meal, the sandwich had a big ass piece of turkey on it. Additionally, we gobbled up the sweet potatoes wedges. However, the fries were just your run-of-the-mill Disney fries. Hell, anytime a restaurant has a dedicated fryer for fried food, it’s a big plus. As a result of these options, Be Our Guest isn’t your traditional theme park food. It’s actually really damn good.

Look, I’m definitely not shy of criticizing Disney food. Check out my Sunshine Seasons review. Be Our Guest doesn’t deserve the criticism it gets. I think most of the criticism comes from its popularity. As long as the food tastes good, I don’t give a shit. With that said, it’s super hard to get a reservation directly through Disney. Calm down and don’t be an asshole. Head over to Touringplans and you’ll get what you want. Overall, I recommend Be Our Guest. Particularly, the theming of the restaurant nor the food will disappoint. Admittedly, if you aren’t accustomed to Disney pricing you might shit you pants after seeing the final bill.
