The Walt Disney Company has announced the finalization of its acquisition of Fox. This is another purchase in a string of purchases that Bob Iger has made for the Walt Disney Company- the world’s dominant entertainment company. At $71.3 billion, Fox is the biggest purchase to date under Iger. Iger’s first major purchase was Pixar for $7.4 billion. In addition to Pixar, he purchased Marvel and Lucasfilm for $4 billion, respectively.

Iger said about the deal, “This is an extraordinary and historic moment for us — one that will create significant long-term value for our company and our shareholders.”

We’re not going to go through all of the damn content Disney acquired in this deal but X-Men, Fantastic 4, and Deadpool are all coming home to Marvel.
