Disney turns acquisition of Lucasfilm into gold!
Disney has made three Star Wars movies since buying Lucasfilm. Disney’s total profits have already passed the original $4 billion acquisition of Lucasfilm. With multiple films and two theme lands in the US theme parks, Disney has turned this investment into a goldmine. By many accounts, Disney pretty much stole the damn studio. George Lucas received multiple shares of Disney stock as part of the transaction, which have more than doubled since. Everyone seems to have won from this deal.
